    FT1 – SAPA TREKKING 2 DAYS 1 NIGHT

     (Homestay in Y Linh Ho)

Experience the amazing landscapes of the Muong Hoa Valley on a 2-day Sapa trekking tour and visit different ethnic minority villages. Spend the night at a local homestay in Y Linh Ho village and learn about their customs.

This trekking tour will take you off the beaten path and immerse you in the local culture of the Vietnamese highlands. This personalized trip gives you the chance to strengthen your connection to the stunning landscapes and rich culture of Vietnam’s ethnic villages, where you’ll enjoy the warm hospitality with the help of your guide.

Day 1: Hanoi – Sapa – Y Linh Ho Village (approx. 6 km trek)

06:00: Be ready at your hotel lobby in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, and we will come to pick you up between 06:00 and 06:30.

07:00: The bus leaves Hanoi for Sapa. Enjoy the views of the countryside on the way, and the bus will make two stops for a short break. When you arrive in Sapa at about 13:30, you will be transferred by car/van, or motorcycle to the Symphony Hotel (7 Hoang Lien, Sapa), where you will have lunch and relax. Our guide will then greet you and give you additional details about the trek.

At about 15:00, you will start your trek and head through the fields to Y Linh Ho village, the home of the Black H’mong people. The Black H’mong are proud of their culture, and they have their own language and wear traditional indigo blue clothing.

The trek to the village will give you an opportunity to admire beautiful nature, take photographs of hereditary terraces that are estimated to be around 100 years old, and see the daily life of the locals. After about two hours of trekking, you will reach Y Linh Ho village, located in a beautiful area by the Muong Hoa River.

Upon arrival at the homestay, take some time to discover the surrounding area before enjoying a delicious dinner.

Overnight in a traditional stilted house in Y Linh Ho village.

Day 2: Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai – Sapa – Hanoi

    (approx. 10 km trek)

After having breakfast, at 08:00 you will say goodbye to your hosts and continue trekking to Lao Chai village to learn more about the local culture and customs. The trek on the narrow paths through the fields will bring you closer to local life. After some relaxing time, you will walk to Ta Van village to visit the Giay people. The Giay minority in Ta Van has its own distinct culture and lifestyle. They live in mountain valleys near their fields, where they cultivate wet rice.

Then you continue your trek through an enchanting bamboo forest and a waterfall to visit Giang Ta Chai village, where you can see the Red Dao people. The women of the Red Dao have very colorful red embroidery, coins on their clothing, and wear red scarves on their heads. Some of the women shave their eyebrows because they believe a hairless face is beautiful.

You will stop for lunch before leaving Giang Ta Chai and driving to Sapa. You will have time to relax at the Symphony Hotel in Sapa until you are picked up to board your afternoon bus back to Hanoi. The bus will arrive in Hanoi at night and drop you off at the bus stop on Tran Quang Khai Street, near the Old Quarter.
